Petronas Towers At one time the tallest buildings in the world, the Petronas Towers rise up to 452 meters above ground level. The world's tallest "structure" accolade now goes to Burj Dubai, in DUbai. Within the confines of the Towers are the Petronas Philharmonic Hall, the Petronas Art Gallery and also the KLCC Aquaria which as the name suggests is an oceanic aquarium filled with various sea life from sharks to stingrays. The National Museum The Muzium Negara is situated just outside Perdana Lake Gardens and is built in the style of a Rumah Gadang. Situated on top of a hill at Jalan Travers, it serves visitors as an introduction to the culture and history of Malaysia.
Malaysian National Palace Istana Negara or National Museum is the home for the King of Malaysia. After the Japanese occupation of 1941 to 1945 came to an end it was home to the Sultan of Selangor. This ended in 1957 when the Federal Government acquired the premises for the King.
Malaysian National Mosque The National Mosque is so large that it can easily accommodate up to 15 thousand people at any one time. It is the main feature of 13 acres of lovely gardens and the main features include a 73 meter high minaret and a star design for the main roof area. The gardens are dotted with various water features throughout.
Central Market Also known as Pasar Seni, the Central Market was at one time the wet market which sold mainly fresh fish. Now however, the main products on offer to customers are arts and crafts, antiques and paintings, souvenirs and clothing products. The market is built in the old British colonnial style.
